Company announcement video

Announcements go wrong when the news arrives after the context.

An announcement video states the news in the first sentence, explains what changes for the viewer, gives the date it takes effect, and says where questions go. Sixty seconds is usually enough.

The detail, in plain English

Burying the news under background reads as evasive, especially for price changes and policy updates. Say it, then explain it.

The viewer only has one real question: what does this mean for me? Answer it explicitly rather than leaving it implied.

Give a date. An announcement without a date generates more questions than it answers.

What to do, step by step

  1. 1State the newsFirst sentence, plainly, no preamble.
  2. 2Say what changes for themIn their terms — what they will see, pay or do differently.
  3. 3Give the date and the route for questionsBoth, every time.

A worked example

Worked example (illustration). A software firm announces a pricing change with a 55-second video that opens with the new price, and directs queries to one named inbox rather than the general support queue.

What to watch out for

  • Do not soften the opening to the point where people miss the news.
  • Check legal or HR wording before producing, not after sending.
  • Send the video and a short written summary together; some people need the text.

How AutoPersonify does it

AutoPersonify gives you 143 real presenters, scripts in 42 languages and a free tier with no card, so you can make a finished video before you decide on a plan. Paid plans are Starter £49, Growth £149 and Scale £499 a month, all measured in finished video minutes.

Questions people ask

Do I need any video experience?

No. Announcements are all script. Pick a presenter your audience already recognises from previous videos and keep the format identical.

How much does it cost?

Under a minute of allowance per announcement. Starter at £49 a month covers regular internal and customer updates comfortably.

Can I edit it afterwards?

Yes, but for announcements it is better to publish a clearly labelled correction than to silently replace a version people have already seen.
