Support explainer videos for every help article

Some customers will watch a 45-second video rather than read a page of steps.

For each help article, have your AI write a 45-second spoken summary, POST /videos with a presenter, and place the finished video at the top of the article. Re-make it whenever the article changes.

How it works

  1. 1Pick the top articlesStart with the ten most-viewed help pages.
  2. 2Summarise to speechShort sentences, one idea each, ending with where to click.
  3. 3Make and embedEmbed the finished video above the written steps.
  4. 4Keep it currentUse the article id plus version as the idempotency key and remake on edits.

The API calls

curl https://autopersonify.com/api/v1/presenters?gender=female -H "Authorization: Bearer $AUTOPERSONIFY_API_KEY"

curl -X POST https://autopersonify.com/api/v1/videos \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $AUTOPERSONIFY_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"presenter_id":"pr_anna_3f9a1c","script":"Hi Sarah, welcome aboard.","idempotency_key":"welcome-user-42"}'

What you can build

  • Video at the top of help articles
  • Video replies to common tickets
  • In-app 'how do I' clips

Honest limits

  • Videos take a few minutes to make, usually 2 to 10. Poll every 10 to 15 seconds or use webhooks.
  • Every finished video uses the account's video minutes. When they run out, the API returns allowance_exceeded with a message you can show as it is.
  • Call the API from server code only. Never put the key in browser code.

Questions people ask

Can it show my screen?

No. The video is a presenter speaking; put screenshots next to it in the article.

Which presenter should I use?

One consistent presenter across your help centre feels like a support team member.

Can support replies include video automatically?

Yes, but review them first in your library before sending.
