Changelog
Changelog video
Not every entry. The two that matter.
Paste the changelog entries, or upload the Markdown file. The script step turns them into plain spoken updates you edit. Choose a presenter and post a short clip with the changelog itself.
The detail, in plain English
Changelogs are written for people already paying attention. Most entries are internal-sounding fixes, and reading them aloud in order produces a video nobody wants, so pick the two or three changes a customer would notice.
Translate as you go. 'Fixed race condition on bulk import' becomes 'bulk imports no longer drop rows when two people upload at once' — same fact, understandable audience.
What to do, step by step
- 1Paste the entriesBring the release entries in, or upload the Markdown changelog file directly.
- 2Keep what a customer would noticeDrop internal refactors and dependency bumps, and rewrite the survivors in plain language.
- 3Produce a short clipPick a presenter, keep it to 45 seconds or so, and publish it above the written changelog.

A worked example
Worked example (illustration). A release with 17 entries becomes a 45-second clip covering one new export option, one fix people had complained about, and one breaking change to an older setting, with the remaining 14 entries left to the written list.
What to watch out for
- Always lead with a breaking change, never bury it at the end.
- Do not speak internal ticket references or code identifiers.
- Avoid promising anything that is not in this release.

Questions people ask
How long does it take?
Ten minutes per release. The entries already exist, so it is mostly filtering and rewriting a handful of lines into plain language.
Can I change the wording?
Yes, and technical wording almost always needs it. The changelog stays as written while the spoken version is rewritten for customers.
What does it cost?
Free to try. A team shipping fortnightly clips stays inside Starter at £49 a month, measured in finished video minutes.
