Text
Text to video
Start with words. End with someone saying them.
Paste any text at all. It becomes an editable spoken script, shortened if it is long. Choose one of 143 presenters, in any of 42 languages, and a finished video of that text is produced for you.
The detail, in plain English
Text is the lowest-effort starting point in the product: no file, no address, no format rules. If you can copy it, you can make a video of it.
The only thing text lacks is intent. A paragraph pulled from somewhere else has no opening and no ending, so add a first line that says what this is and a last line that says what to do.
What to do, step by step
- 1Paste the textAnything from a sentence to several pages. There is no format requirement.
- 2Give it a beginning and an endAdd an opening line naming the subject and a closing line with the next step. Most raw text has neither.
- 3Pick a presenter and languageChoose from 143 presenters and 42 languages, then produce.
What this format looks like as a video
| What is usually missing | Add |
|---|---|
| An opening | One sentence naming the subject |
| A reason to watch | Who this is for |
| Short sentences | Split anything over about 25 words |
| A closing | One clear next step |
| Spoken numbers | Rounded, written how they sound |
A worked example
Worked example (illustration). Three paragraphs copied out of an internal wiki become a 60-second video after adding an opening line naming the policy, splitting two long sentences, and closing with who to contact.
What to watch out for
- Check you have the right to use text you did not write yourself.
- Text copied from a web page often carries stray menu wording — delete it.
- Without an opening line, the video starts mid-thought and feels unfinished.
