Whitepaper to video

Thirty pages of argument, condensed into the part that changes a mind.

Upload the whitepaper. Its text is read and drafted into a spoken script you edit down to the finding and its consequences, then a presenter you choose delivers it as a finished video.

The detail, in plain English

Whitepapers exist to be credible, so they are long, hedged and full of references. A video cannot be any of those things and still hold attention.

The honest treatment is one finding, one reason to believe it, one consequence, and a clear invitation to read the full paper for the method.

What to do, step by step

  1. 1Upload the paperA text-based PDF or Word file reads cleanly, including the executive summary.
  2. 2Script from the summary, not the bodyThe executive summary is already the condensed version — start there and cut further.
  3. 3Produce it as a gate openerChoose a presenter, produce the video, and place it beside the download form.

A worked example

Worked example (illustration). A 28-page whitepaper on hybrid working becomes an 80-second video: the headline finding, one supporting figure taken from the paper, what it means for managers, and an invitation to download the full study.

What to watch out for

  • Never round or restate figures in a way the paper does not support.
  • Hedged academic wording sounds evasive spoken; simplify without overstating.
  • Keep the method available in text — a video cannot carry it credibly.

How AutoPersonify does it

PDF, Word, plain text and Markdown files are read in your browser, and a public web address can be read for you. Everything else is pasted in as text. You then get 143 real presenters, scripts in 42 languages, and a free tier with no card. Paid plans are Starter £49, Growth £149 and Scale £499 a month, measured in finished video minutes.

Questions people ask

How long does it take?

Twenty to thirty minutes, mostly deciding what to leave out. Working from the executive summary rather than the full body roughly halves that.

Can I change the wording?

Yes, though research claims should keep their original precision. Simplify the language, not the substance.

What does it cost?

The free tier covers your first video. Publishing a video with each research release generally fits Starter £49 a month.
