Care
Video for care homes
Families, admissions and recruitment, handled with the calm the subject deserves.
Care homes make four regularly: a home introduction for families, an admissions process explainer, a staff recruitment video and a monthly family update. Each runs sixty to ninety seconds.
Why video earns its place here
Families are usually deciding quickly and under strain. An honest video explaining the admissions process, funding routes and what the first week looks like removes fear that a brochure cannot.
Recruitment is the other constant. A short, straight video about shift patterns, training and support recruits better than a generic advert in a sector where every home is hiring.
The four videos this sector makes most
| Video | Length | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Home introduction | 90 seconds | Who the home suits, the type of care provided and how to arrange a visit |
| Admissions explainer | 90 seconds | Assessment, funding routes and what the first week involves |
| Recruitment video | 60 seconds | Shifts, pay banding, training and support, said plainly |
| Monthly family update | 60 seconds | Activities, staffing news and visiting arrangements for relatives |
A worked script outline
- 1Say what care the home provides"We provide residential and dementia care for thirty-two residents in Shrewsbury."
- 2Explain the process without jargonAssessment, funding check, trial stay. Name the local authority step if there is one.
- 3Be honest about what you do not do"We do not provide nursing care, so if that is needed we will help you find a home that does."
- 4Close with a human next step"Ring the home manager directly and arrange to visit — no appointment needed on weekday afternoons."
Compliance and tone notes
- Regulated care providers must not make claims inconsistent with their registration or their most recent inspection rating.
- Never feature residents, their names, rooms or health information without consent from the resident or, where appropriate, their legal representative.
- Mental capacity matters: consent for a video appearance must be assessed, not assumed, and recorded.
- Keep fee information accurate and explain what is and is not included, since funding disputes usually start with a misremembered figure.

Questions people ask
Is there a free tier?
Yes, without a card. Homes normally make the admissions explainer first, because it answers what every enquiring family rings to ask.
Can I use my own likeness?
Yes, and the home manager's own likeness is the right choice here — families want to see the person who will be responsible for their relative.
Do you support other languages?
Yes, 42 languages, useful both for families and for recruitment in areas where a significant part of the care workforce speaks another first language.
