The detail, in plain English
Spreadsheets do not translate directly. A grid of 300 cells has no spoken equivalent, so the job is choosing the four or five figures that carry the story and saying what they mean rather than what they are.
Round aggressively when speaking. '£48,217' is hard to hold in your head; 'just over forty-eight thousand, up nine percent' is understood immediately and stays accurate.

A worked example
Worked example (illustration). A monthly sales sheet with 12 columns becomes a 90-second summary: revenue rounded and compared to last month, the one region that moved, the product line that dropped, and the single figure to watch next month.
What to watch out for
- Never speak a figure you have not checked against the source sheet.
- Avoid reading more than about five numbers in a short video; people stop tracking.
- Strip anything personal or commercially sensitive before the video goes anywhere.
