Scale

Scaling video production without hiring

Volume breaks agencies at the coordination layer, not the production layer. Fix the coordination and fifty videos is a normal month.

Scale by templating scripts, batching production into one day a week, giving each client its own workspace, and moving up a plan before you hit the ceiling. Production itself does not need more people.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1Template the three script shapesExplainer, case study and offer. Most client requests are one of these with different facts.
  2. 2Batch on a fixed dayOne production day a week beats ad-hoc requests scattered across five.
  3. 3Separate clients properlyA workspace per client keeps assets, brand settings and approvals from leaking between accounts.
  4. 4Upgrade before the ceilingRunning out of minutes mid-month is a client problem, not a billing problem.

A worked example in pounds

Worked example (illustration). An agency moves from 12 to 55 videos a month over a quarter. Finished minutes go from 18 to 83, so it moves from Starter at £49 to Growth at £149 without hiring anyone.

What to watch out for

  • Do not template the first fifteen seconds. That is the part that must be specific per client.
  • Watch minutes weekly during a growth quarter, not monthly.
  • Revisions scale too. Make sure your revision fee scales with volume or it becomes the bottleneck.

Questions agencies ask

How long does this take?

Most agencies reach fifty videos a month within a quarter. The constraint is client demand and approvals, not production capacity.

What does it cost?

Fifty-five videos of 90 seconds is roughly 83 finished minutes, which fits inside Growth at £149. Scale at £499 covers 480 minutes.

Does the client need an account?

No. Extra volume adds no accounts on the client side; it only adds review links, which are free to send.
