Video for clinics

Treatment explainers, preparation and aftercare, said clearly and consistently.

Clinics make four regularly: a treatment explainer, an appointment preparation video, an aftercare video and a clinician introduction. Each runs sixty to ninety seconds and is reviewed by a clinician before it is published.

Why video earns its place here

Patients forget most of what is said in a consultation. An aftercare video attached to the appointment confirmation gives them the same instructions to replay at home, in the clinic's own words.

The clinician introduction lowers the anxiety that causes non-attendance. Seeing who will be in the room, and hearing how the appointment is structured, does more for attendance than another reminder text.

A worked script outline

  1. 1State what the appointment is"This is what happens at a first dermatology assessment at our Harrogate clinic."
  2. 2Describe the process honestlyHow long it takes, whether anything is uncomfortable, what is decided on the day.
  3. 3Name the limits"This video is general information and is not a diagnosis. Your clinician will advise on your own case."
  4. 4Give the practical close"Bring your medication list, arrive ten minutes early, and call the clinic if anything changes."

Compliance and tone notes

  • Healthcare advertising rules apply: no claims of guaranteed outcomes, no before-and-after implications in the wording, and no promotion of prescription-only medicines to the public.
  • Every clinical script needs sign-off by a named clinician, and the sign-off should be recorded with the script version that was produced.
  • Never use a real patient's case, images or words without written consent covering video distribution specifically.
  • Tone matters more than polish here — calm, plain and unhurried beats a marketing voice for anything involving a procedure.

Questions people ask

Is there a free tier?

Yes. Clinics normally use it to produce one appointment preparation video and route it through clinical governance before spending anything.

Can I use my own likeness?

Yes. A clinician can appear as themselves, which is usually preferred for anything clinical because patients are being asked to trust a named professional.

Do you support other languages?

Yes, 42 languages. Preparation and aftercare instructions in a patient's first language reduce misunderstanding, though translated clinical wording should be checked before publication.
