Ecommerce product videos

Product pages, sizing questions and post-purchase emails, answered on camera.

Ecommerce teams make four most often: a product explainer, a sizing or fit guide, a delivery and returns answer, and a post-purchase care video. Each runs thirty to ninety seconds and is produced per product line.

Why video earns its place here

The product explainer is not a hero film. It answers the three questions the reviews keep asking, which is why it belongs beside the buy button rather than on a brand channel.

Post-purchase is the underused one. A short care or setup video in the dispatch email reduces "how do I" contacts and quietly lowers returns, and it costs the same to produce as a marketing clip.

The four videos this sector makes most

Typical lengths and what each one is for

A worked script outline

  1. 1Lead with the product and the use"This is the insulated 750ml flask, and it is the one to buy if you want a drink still warm at four in the afternoon."
  2. 2Answer the review questionsDoes it fit a bottle cage, is the lid dishwasher safe, how heavy is it empty. Three, in order of how often they are asked.
  3. 3Be exact about size and fitGive measurements, not impressions. "It is 26cm tall and 7cm across the base."
  4. 4Close on delivery and returns"Ordered before 2pm, it ships the same day, and returns are free for thirty days."

Compliance and tone notes

  • Price and delivery claims on camera are advertising claims. If a stated price or dispatch cut-off changes, reproduce the video rather than leave the old one on the product page.
  • Do not claim health, performance or environmental benefits you cannot evidence — "recyclable" and "sustainable" need substantiation.
  • Discount wording such as "was £60" must meet the same evidence rules as your on-site pricing.
  • Keep model or customer likenesses out unless you hold rights to use them in paid distribution as well as organic.

Questions people ask

Is there a free tier?

Yes. It suits testing one product page with video before rolling it across a catalogue, and no card is needed to produce that first video.

Can I use my own likeness?

Yes. Founder-led brands often use their own likeness for product explainers, which reads very differently from a stock presenter on a small brand's page.

Do you support other languages?

Yes, 42 languages, which matters most for marketplaces where one catalogue serves several countries and the same explainer needs reissuing per storefront.
