Email to video
Same message, different chance of being opened.
Paste the email body. The script step strips the greeting and signature and turns the rest into speech you edit. Choose a presenter and drop the video link into a much shorter email.
The detail, in plain English
Email prose is polite and padded. 'I hope this finds you well' and three lines of context before the point all have to go, because spoken they waste the ten seconds you actually have.
The email does not disappear. Send a two-line message with the video link in it, so the recipient can watch or skim depending on their mood.
What to do, step by step
- 1Paste the bodyBring in the message without the signature block, disclaimers or the quoted thread underneath.
- 2Lead with the askPut the request in the first sentence, then the reasoning. Email order and spoken order are opposites.
- 3Produce and shorten the emailChoose a presenter, produce 45 to 60 seconds, and replace the original email with two lines and the link.
What this format looks like as a video
| Email part | In the video |
|---|---|
| Subject line | Becomes the opening sentence |
| Greeting | Kept short, or dropped |
| Context paragraphs | Compressed to one line |
| The ask | Moved to the front |
| Signature and disclaimer | Removed |
| Attachments | Mentioned, still attached |
A worked example
Worked example (illustration). A 400-word email chasing a delayed approval becomes a 50-second video: the ask in the first line, the two dates that matter, the consequence of slipping again, and a request for a yes or no by Thursday.
What to watch out for
- Delete the quoted thread before pasting or it gets spoken aloud.
- Never put anything confidential into a video link you cannot revoke.
- Keep the tone warmer than the email; text reads colder than it sounds.
How AutoPersonify does it
PDF, Word, plain text and Markdown files are read in your browser, and a public web address can be read for you. Everything else is pasted in as text. You then get 143 real presenters, scripts in 42 languages, and a free tier with no card. Paid plans are Starter £49, Growth £149 and Scale £499 a month, measured in finished video minutes.
Questions people ask
How long does it take?
Under ten minutes, which is the appeal. Most of it is reordering the message so the ask comes first.
Can I change the wording?
Yes, and email nearly always needs it. The written politeness layer is removed and the message gets noticeably more direct.
What does it cost?
Free for the first one. Someone sending a few of these a week stays comfortably inside Starter at £49 a month.
