Video for construction firms
Inductions, toolbox talks and progress reports, produced without pulling anyone off site.
Construction firms make four: a site induction, a weekly toolbox talk, a client progress report and a tender or capability submission. Each is produced from typed notes in minutes, so the site manager never leaves the site.
Why video earns its place here
Site inductions are repeated for every new subcontractor and every visitor. Recording the standing content once, and re-recording only the site-specific section per project, turns a forty-minute meeting into a five-minute video plus a signature.
The client progress report is the commercial win. A short weekly video against the programme reduces the chance of a client claiming they were never told about a delay, because there is a dated record they watched.
The four videos this sector makes most
| Video | Length | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Site induction | 3–5 minutes | Access, welfare, site rules and the hazards specific to that site |
| Weekly toolbox talk | 60–90 seconds | One topic a week, issued to every operative in one message |
| Client progress report | 90 seconds | Programme position, variations raised and the next two weeks |
| Tender or capability submission | 2 minutes | Relevant experience and the delivery team, attached to the written bid |
A worked script outline
- 1State the site and the week"This is the week twelve report for the Brookfield Road scheme."
- 2Position against the programme"We are three days ahead on the frame and two days behind on the roof covering."
- 3Name the variations and their status"Two variation notices were issued on Monday; both are awaiting your instruction."
- 4Close with the next fortnight"Next two weeks: roof complete, windows started, scaffold alteration on the fifth."
Compliance and tone notes
- A recorded induction does not discharge the duty to check understanding — record attendance and questions alongside it, as your CDM arrangements require.
- Never state that a hazard has been eliminated; describe the control measure and who is responsible for maintaining it.
- Progress statements in a client video may be relied upon contractually, so keep the wording consistent with the formal programme and any notices issued.
- Do not name accreditations, competence cards or approved-contractor schemes in a video unless the certification is current.

Questions people ask
Is there a free tier?
Yes, no card. The first build is usually one toolbox talk, because it proves whether operatives actually open a video link before the firm commits budget.
Can I use my own likeness?
Yes. Site managers can record footage once and then front every weekly report, which matters because the client already knows that face from site meetings.
Do you support other languages?
Yes, 42 languages. Inductions and toolbox talks in an operative's first language are the single most requested use on multilingual sites.
