Video for insurance brokers

Cover, renewals and claims, explained before the client rings to ask.

Brokers make four most often: a cover explainer, a renewal reminder, a claims guidance video and a mid-term change notice. Each runs forty-five to ninety seconds and goes out with the relevant document pack.

Why video earns its place here

Renewal is where the margin sits and where clients shop around. A short video explaining what changed in the premium, sent before the invitation lands, keeps the conversation with the broker rather than the comparison site.

Claims guidance sent at first notification reduces the back-and-forth over documents, which is where claims handling time and client frustration accumulate.

Cover explainer90 secondsWhat the policy covers, what it excludes and the excess

A worked script outline

  1. 1Name the policy and the period"This is your commercial combined policy, renewing on 1 June."
  2. 2Explain the change in the premium"It has moved from £2,100 to £2,340, mostly because the sum insured was increased in March."
  3. 3Flag the exclusions people forgetOne or two, the ones that cause declined claims in this class of business.
  4. 4Close with the deadline and the contact"Confirm by 25 May so cover continues without a gap — reply to this email or ring your account handler."

Compliance and tone notes

  • A video that explains cover is a financial promotion and must be fair, clear and not misleading; approval must happen before it is sent.
  • Never summarise cover in a way that could be read as advice on suitability unless the firm holds the permission and the script says so.
  • Always defer to the policy wording on camera: "the policy document sets out the full terms, and it takes precedence over this summary."
  • Keep claim examples generic. Describing a real claim, even anonymised, risks identifying the policyholder in a small commercial class.

Questions people ask

Is there a free tier?

Yes. Brokers generally use it to make one renewal video for a single scheme, then measure retention on that book before rolling it out.

Can I use my own likeness?

Yes. Account handlers appearing as themselves suits renewal videos, because the client already knows that name from the last twelve months of emails.

Do you support other languages?

Yes, 42 languages. Commercial clients with overseas operations often prefer cover summaries in the language their finance team works in.
