Video for solicitors
Client care, process and progress, explained without another chargeable call.
Solicitors make four regularly: a client care explainer, a process guide for a matter type, a progress update and a fees and disbursements explainer. Each runs sixty to a hundred and twenty seconds.
Why video earns its place here
Conveyancing generates the most inbound calls of any matter type, and almost all of them ask the same question about where the file is. A weekly process update video for a whole caseload changes that pattern.
The client care explainer also protects the firm. Explaining complaints procedures, fee structures and expected timescales on camera, at the outset, is evidence that the information was given clearly.
The four videos this sector makes most
| Video | Length | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Client care explainer | 90 seconds | Scope, timescales, complaints route and who to contact |
| Process guide | 120 seconds | Walk through the stages of a matter type such as conveyancing or probate |
| Progress update | 45 seconds | Reduce the 'where are we' calls with a scheduled weekly update |
| Fees and disbursements | 60 seconds | Explain what is fixed, what is variable and what is paid to third parties |
A worked script outline
- 1Name the matter type, not the client"This explains what happens in a freehold residential purchase from offer to completion."
- 2Set the stages and honest timescales"Searches usually take two to four weeks, depending on the local authority."
- 3Explain costs in categoriesFixed fee, disbursements, and what could change the figure, each in one sentence.
- 4Close with the boundary"This is general guidance about the process, not advice on your matter — your fee earner will advise on your case."
Compliance and tone notes
- Client confidentiality and privilege apply absolutely. A matter-specific video must be shared only with that client through a private link.
- Transparency rules mean cost information given publicly must be accurate and complete enough not to mislead — a partial figure on camera is a risk.
- Firm marketing must meet your regulator's publicity requirements, including how the firm is described and regulated; route scripts through the usual approval.
- Do not imply outcomes or success rates in any matter type; describe the process instead.

Questions people ask
Is there a free tier?
Yes, without a card. Firms commonly produce one conveyancing process guide first, since that single video deflects the highest volume of client calls.
Can I use my own likeness?
Yes. Fee earners often use their own likeness for client care videos so the client hears the explanation from the person who will run their matter.
Do you support other languages?
Yes, 42 languages. For process guides, have a fluent legal speaker review the translated script, since procedural terms rarely map word for word.
