Retail

Video for retailers

Product explainers, store briefings and promotion notices, refreshed as often as the range.

Retailers make four: a product explainer, a store team briefing, a promotion notice and a returns and guarantee guide. Each is produced in minutes, which lets a range change without a production schedule.

Why video earns its place here

Product pages convert better with a spoken explanation of the two things photographs cannot show — fit, sizing, or how something is actually used at home.

Store teams are told about promotions by email the night before. A sixty-second briefing sent to the shop floor app means the till message and the staff answer finally match.

The four videos this sector makes most

Typical lengths and what each one is for

A worked script outline

  1. 1Name the promotion and the dates"Three for two on the home range runs from Thursday to the following Wednesday."
  2. 2Explain the mechanic exactly"The cheapest item is free, and it applies per transaction, not per basket line."
  3. 3State the exclusions out loud"Clearance lines and gift cards are excluded, and it cannot be combined with staff discount."
  4. 4Give the till instruction"The discount applies automatically; if it does not, call a supervisor rather than overriding."

Compliance and tone notes

  • Price comparison claims such as was and now must meet the pricing practices guidance, including how long the higher price was genuinely charged.
  • Promotion terms stated on camera must match the full written terms, because a spoken exclusion is what the customer remembers at the till.
  • Statutory return rights cannot be reduced by a video; describe your goodwill policy as being in addition to those rights.
  • Product claims about safety, materials or sustainability must be evidenced and specific rather than general assurances.

Questions people ask

Is there a free tier?

Yes, no card needed. Most retailers use the free allowance on one product explainer and measure it against the page's existing conversion rate.

Can I use my own likeness?

Yes, though buyers and founders tend to use it for range storytelling while presenters cover the repeatable product library.

Do you support other languages?

Yes, 42 languages, which multi-market ecommerce teams use to localise a product explainer without reshooting the range.
