Recruitment
Video for recruitment agencies
Role adverts, shortlists and client pitches, made at the speed a desk actually moves.
Recruiters make four regularly: a role advert, a candidate shortlist summary for the client, a business development pitch and an interview briefing. Each runs under two minutes and is produced the same day the vacancy lands.
Why video earns its place here
A vacancy has a short half-life. A written advert competes with forty others on the same board, whereas a sixty-second video attached to the outreach message gets opened because it is obviously about that one role.
The interview briefing is the quiet winner. Consultants repeat the same directions, dress code and panel names dozens of times a week; recording it once per client removes the phone calls and improves candidate turn-up.
The four videos this sector makes most
| Video | Length | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Role advert | 60 seconds | Title, salary band, location and the one thing that makes the role worth leaving for |
| Shortlist summary | 90 seconds | Introduce three candidates to the hiring manager before the CVs are opened |
| Business development pitch | 45 seconds | Open a conversation with a hiring manager who ignores written outreach |
| Interview briefing | 60 seconds | Location, format, panel and preparation, sent to every candidate automatically |
A worked script outline
- 1Name the role and the money"Second-line support engineer, Leeds, £34,000 to £38,000, hybrid at two days on site." Say the band or do not make the video.
- 2Describe the team, not the company boilerplateWho they report to, how big the team is, what the first ninety days look like.
- 3Give one honest reason to moveCertification budget, on-call rota being retired, a genuine progression route. One, evidenced.
- 4Close with the process"Two stages, both remote, first one this week. Send me your CV and I will come back today."
Compliance and tone notes
- Adverts must not discriminate. Avoid age markers such as "young team" or "recent graduate", and keep language about health, family status and nationality out of the script entirely.
- Never name a candidate, employer or salary in a shortlist video without that person's agreement — a video link is easy to forward.
- If the vacancy is speculative rather than instructed, say so on camera. Adverts for roles that do not exist damage the desk faster than they fill it.
- Candidate footage and recordings are personal data; keep the retention period the same as the rest of your candidate records.

Questions people ask
Is there a free tier?
Yes. A consultant can produce a live role advert with no card, which is usually enough to see whether response rates on that desk change before committing spend.
Can I use my own likeness?
Yes. Consultants can appear as themselves so the face on the outreach video matches the face on the call, which matters when the same person runs the interview process.
Do you support other languages?
Yes, in 42 languages. Agencies placing across Europe can issue the same role advert in the local language without briefing a second consultant.
